Write to [email protected]. A person reads every message, usually within two working days. Include your device model, iOS version and the app version (in the App Store listing or Settings), and what you expected to happen.
Bugs can also go to GitHub issues.
Common questions
Authentication failed.
The server rejected the key or password. Check that the public key from the app is in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys for that user, and the username and port in the server entry.
My keys are missing on a new phone.
Keys come back through iCloud Keychain, so iCloud Keychain must be on for the same Apple ID on both devices. If biometrics were on, the app re-reads the synced copy.
tmux session not found.
The server needs tmux installed; the app looks for it over an exec channel and lists existing sessions you can adopt. Turn off Auto-tmux in Settings to get a plain shell.
What happens if I lose signal or close the app?
With Auto-tmux on (the default) the shell runs inside tmux on the server, so the job keeps running. Reconnect and the app reattaches to the same session; Auto-Reconnect is also on by default.
Where are my private keys?
Generated on the phone and stored in the iOS Keychain. They sync through iCloud Keychain to your other Apple devices if iCloud Keychain is on. They are never sent to us.
Can I protect keys with Face ID?
Yes. Turn on 'Require Biometrics for Keys' in Settings; you can also lock the app on launch. Both are off by default.
Does it support passwords?
Yes, password or key authentication per server. A password is typed when connecting and not stored.
Is it open source?
Yes: github.com/fortunto2/swift-terminal.
