Common questions
Recording a sample does nothing
Allow the microphone in iOS Settings > Jaw Harp Synth > Microphone.
My Bluetooth MIDI controller does not appear
Allow Bluetooth for the app, then connect the controller from the MIDI section of the app's Settings rather than from iOS Bluetooth settings.
No sound
Check the ring/silent switch and volume; background audio is supported, so another audio app may hold the session. Restart the app if the audio engine stopped after a route change.
Does the app send my recordings anywhere?
No. Samples and recordings are saved in the app's own folder on the device and leave it only when you share them.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account. Synthesis, sampling and sequencing work offline.
Does it work with MIDI controllers?
Yes, over Bluetooth MIDI or a network MIDI session on the same Wi-Fi.
Is it free?
Yes. The $9.99 donation is a tip and unlocks nothing.
Does it run on iPad?
Yes, iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 17 or later.
