CurrencyPals
Converts 36 currencies at once: type in any row, every row updates, and it keeps working offline.
CurrencyPals is a currency converter for travel. Every row is an input, so you type an amount in whichever currency you have and see all the others at once. Rates are cached on the iPhone, so it still converts on a plane or on a SIM that has not connected yet.

What it does
Any row is the input
Tap any currency and type; every other row recalculates through a USD pivot. There is no from/to picker to flip.
Works offline
Rates are stored on the device with SwiftData. They refresh automatically when older than 4 hours, and a badge shows their age and turns orange after 4 hours.
31 currencies plus 5 cryptocurrencies
30 ECB currencies and the ruble, plus Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and BNB.
30-day chart
Tap a currency name to see a 30-day chart for the pair with high, low and change.
Your own list
Add currencies by code or name, drag to reorder, swipe to remove.
Privacy
No account. Your currency list and cached rates stay on the iPhone. The app fetches public rates from three providers and, in the current code, sends an anonymous launch count to our own server.
- Account: none. The app has no sign-in and no account.
- Reaches us: An anonymous launch count: the event "app launched", the app version, a timestamp and a random install id (see Analytics). Added in version 1.0.1.
- Other services: api.frankfurter.dev, api.coingecko.com, open.er-api.com
FAQ
Does it work without internet?
Yes, after it has loaded rates once. Rates are cached on the phone and conversion runs locally. The badge at the top shows how old the rates are.
Where do the rates come from?
European Central Bank reference rates via Frankfurter for 30 currencies, open.er-api.com for the ruble, CoinGecko for the five cryptocurrencies. They are reference rates: a bank or exchange office adds its own spread and fees.
How often do rates update?
Automatically when the cached rates are more than 4 hours old, and any time you pull the list down.
Which currencies are supported?
31 currencies (30 from the ECB list plus the ruble) and Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and BNB: 36 in total.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no ads.
