Before you post a generated video: disclosure and rights checklist
Six checks for AI-generated clips before they go on TikTok, Reels, Shorts or a client's site: labels, likeness, music, logos, model terms and provenance.
Before posting a generated clip, answer each in writing:
1. LABEL — Does the platform require an AI-generated / altered-content label for this kind of content (realistic people, events, places)? Set it in the upload form, not only in the caption.
2. LIKENESS — Does anyone in the clip resemble a real, identifiable person who did not consent? If yes, regenerate with the character block changed.
3. MUSIC — Was the music generated, licensed, or from the platform's library? Anything else gets stripped before upload.
4. LOGOS & BRANDS — Any third-party logo, trademark or recognisable product in frame that you do not own? Prompt 'no logos' and check the frames.
5. MODEL TERMS — Does your plan on {Veo / Sora / Kling / Runway} allow commercial use of outputs? Keep a screenshot of the terms page with the date.
6. PROVENANCE — Keep the prompt, the seed if shown, the model name and the date beside the clip (a sidecar text file). It is your proof of how it was made. Paste into your assistant as the first message of a new chat; fill the braces first.
Tips
- Platform label rules change several times a year; the check is 'did I look at today's upload form', not 'what was true last spring'.
- The sidecar file costs 10 seconds and answers every 'how was this made' question later.

A filled 7-part prompt for an abstract background clip: particles that pulse at a stated BPM, a near-seamless loop, no text; the model cannot hear your track, so the beat is matched in the editor.

A filled 7-part prompt for a real-estate or design walkthrough: one slow steadicam path through a room, windows as the only light, straight verticals, and the turns that make geometry drift.
