Life2Film picks the good parts of the videos already in your photo library and cuts them into a film from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. Analysis, editing and rendering run on the iPhone; the footage is never uploaded. It is kept in the app, not saved to Photos, and can be switched off in Settings. ## FAQ ### Are my videos uploaded? No. Analysis, selection and rendering run on the iPhone. Nothing of the footage, its frames or its sound is sent anywhere. ### Do I need an account? No. There is no sign-in. Pro is bought through your Apple ID. ### What does Pro add? The montage is free and unlimited. Pro removes the 2-second Life2Film end card, pays for more licensed music, and Monthly or Yearly include the chat agent on our model. Prices in the US: $3.99 a month, $14.99 a year, $24.99 once (Forever, without the hosted agent). ### Does it work offline? Yes, including airplane mode, as long as the clips are stored on the phone rather than only in iCloud. Downloading music from the catalog and the hosted chat agent need a connection. ### What does the app count? Anonymous usage: how far a montage gets, the preset, the length, whether music was used, and which screens are used. No footage, names or dates, and a random id that is deleted with the app. Switch it off in Settings > About. Life2Film watches your videos, finds the moments worth keeping, matches the cut to the music and makes a film. No editing skills, no upload: the analysis runs on the device. ## What it does - **Scores every frame.** Thirty measurements per frame: sharpness, stability, noise, exposure and contrast balance, composition, horizon level, attention saliency, bokeh, colour harmony, aesthetic score. Faces are detected with a YOLO model. - **Finds the segments.** An ensemble of detectors decides where a scene actually changes rather than cutting whenever the camera moves. Shots are classified by scale, close-up through wide. - **Assembles the montage.** Segments are ranked, trimmed and laid out to a target duration, with audio energy and beat positions shaping where the cuts land. Everything runs locally.
