# Result-first hook: show the finished thing in frame 1, say how long it took

Template for the hook that opens on the outcome, the one that works with sound off and for products whose output is the content; the first frame is the result, not you holding it.

## Prompt

```text
Write 5 result-first hooks for a short video about {topic}, where the result is {the output: a photo, a dish, a loaf, a typed note, a film}. The result-first hook works because the first frame is the proof and the line only adds the cost (time, taps, money); it fails when the result is not visibly good at phone size, or when the first frame is a face instead of the thing.
Templates to fill:
- '{Result}. {Time it took}. {Where: on a phone / in one pan / at the kitchen table}.'
- 'This took {N} {taps / minutes / dollars}.'
- 'From {the input} to this, {time}.'
- '{Result}, and I did not {the expected effort}.'
- 'Day {N} result. Day 1 is in the corner.'
Rules: max 10 words, the first frame is the result full screen (write FRAME 1 under each hook), the number in the line is one I measured, the person appears only after 2 s. For each hook say whether it reads with sound off (it must: the result and a digit on screen).
Return: 5 hooks with FRAME 1 and the on-screen digit, ranked by how good the result looks at thumbnail size.
```

## Example

Topic: a photo app that cuts a product out onto white.

1. 'Listing photo. Two taps. On the phone, before the coffee got cold.' FRAME 1: the finished mug on white, full screen. On-screen: '2 TAPS'.
2. 'This took eleven seconds.' FRAME 1: three finished listing photos in a row. On-screen: '0:11'.
3. 'From the kitchen counter to this, two taps.' FRAME 1: the finished photo, with the cluttered original as a small inset top-left. On-screen: '2 TAPS'.
4. 'A white-background shot, and I did not open a laptop.' FRAME 1: the finished photo on the phone screen, phone on the counter. On-screen: 'NO LAPTOP'.
5. 'Day seven shop. Day one is in the corner.' FRAME 1: the shop page with 20 clean photos, a day-1 screenshot inset. On-screen: 'DAY 7'.

## Tips

- The creator-growth rule for apps: the product's own output is the hook and 'made on a phone' is the surprise. Frame 1 is the output.
- Check frame 1 at thumbnail size before you shoot the rest. If the result is not obviously good at 150 pixels wide, pick a different result.

## Works with

- Claude: Paste into claude.ai or the Claude app.
- ChatGPT: Paste into ChatGPT; works with any GPT model.
- Claude Code: Runs as a skill or a prompt in the terminal; can read your files and write the result.
- Any LLM: Model-agnostic: Gemini, Mistral, a local model.
